Servant Leadership Award Breakfast

The sixth annual KLA Servant Leadership Award Breakfast was held on May 11, 2017. Nearly 200 community and church leaders attended this year’s event that respectfully honored:

  • The practice of servant leadership in our community
  • The recipients of the 2017 Warren Carter Servant Leadership Award
  • The servant leadership model of Jesus

As many people know, Warren Carter’s life and actions consistently exemplified servant leadership.  This quality was especially demonstrated in Warren’s efforts to form personal relationships and in his pursuit of organizational unity.  These goals were particularly evident in his role as co-founder of both Kern Leadership Alliance and Kern County Student Leadership, a student leadership program in place at 17 Kern County high schools.
