Dave Nicholas

CPA/Investment Advisor Representative, Transamerica Financial Advisors

Dave is a founding member of KLA and current CFO. Born in Bakersfield and educated here until graduation from USC. CPA in public practice for 30+ years. Currently, a Financial Professional with Transamerica Financial Advisors. Married to Jan; daughter Emily lives in New York.

His KLA "why": God impressed upon me early in my spiritual walk that community involvement was key to living a productive spiritual life. When a group of local pastors set out to build an "externally focused" group of believers to transform Kern County, I happened to be with a group of leaders who were remnants of the Franklin Graham Crusade in 2004. God linked the Pastors with this group of leaders that resulted in KLA. Engaging fellow believers to get involved in community transformation for Jesus is a life project for me.

Favorite thing about Kern County: Apart from the fact that I am a native and naturally love this place, we are abundantly blessed with faithful, Christ centered leaders in all walks of life. That gives me a great deal of comfort and confidence as a place to raise a family, conduct business and impact lives for Christ. We are changing the world, one life at a time.

Passion for Kern Leadership Alliance: My background is a CPA, business consultant and small group bible study leader. For a time, I served as President of KLA following Shannon Groves election to the Assembly. For much of my time on the Board of KLA, I have served as CFO making sure we are in compliance with State and Federal regulations. At this point, I prefer to work behind the scenes as a compliance officer and to develop future leaders of KLA and our community.
