Our Beliefs

As followers of Jesus Christ, the leaders and organizations that comprise Kern Leadership Alliance believe:

  1. The Bible to be the infallible Word of God – that it is His holy and inspired Word, and that it is of supreme and final authority.
  2. That the one living God loves everyone and eternally exists in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
  3. In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death for our sins, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to heaven where He is our mediator and advocate, in His present rule as Head of the Church, in His soon return, and in His everlasting reign.
  4. In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life, has received gifts for servant ministries, and is empowered to meet the needs of others.
  5. That humanity was originally created in the image of God to live in love and holiness, but through sin, all have been alienated from God and are justly subject to God’s judgment. To be justified in God’s sight, all people everywhere need God’s free gift of righteousness which he offers to those who put their faith in Christ alone.
  6. In a holy and loving Christian lifestyle, expressed in our personal, family, social, and professional choices.
  7. That we must continually dedicate ourselves anew to the service of our Lord and to His authority over our lives.
  8. That we are called to communicate the Gospel to neighbors and nations, and nurture disciples through supportive relationships.
  9. That we must share and act upon Christ’s concern for the hurts and needs of others, particularly those in poverty, as representatives of God’s love, character and justice.
  10. In the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. This unity is displayed when we reach beyond gender, racial, socio-economic, and denominational lines to demonstrate together the Gospel’s reconciling power.
