September 2011 Kern Leadership Alliance Breakfast with speaker Supervisor Karen Goh

Kern Leadership Alliance
September Breakfast
with speaker Supervisor Karen Goh
A Day of Remembrance

The 10-year Anniversary of the 9/11 attack is an event that unites us all. Throughout the nation, observance of September 11th is an opportunity to join together in remembrance of those who lost their lives on that infamous day.  It’s also a time to recognize acts of heroism demonstrated by first-responders who courageously served in a time of pressing need.

Our speaker, SUPERVISOR KAREN GOH, witnessed the Twin Towers collapse from her Manhattan office building. Profoundly impacted by the tragedy, Karen was called home to Bakersfield be a restorer of broken streets in her own community. Karen is the former volunteer director of Garden Pathways, and currently serves on the Kern County Board of Supervisors.  Join us on September 8th to hear Karen Goh’s personal testimony on living her life in full-time ministry, and to honor local heroes serving our community as first-responders.
