Our speaker, MAYOR ASHLEY SWEARENGIN, has been leading Fresno since 2008. An expert at building coalitions between public and private sectors, Mayor Swearengin strives to tackle Fresno’s problems with honest and thoughtful change. Mayor Swearengin previously served as an executive for the California Partnership for the San Joaquin Valley, a high-level working group established by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger that raised money for highways, development programs and colleges in Fresno. Join Kern Leadership Alliance on April 14th to hear how Mayor Ashley Swearengin lives her life in full-time ministry.
The San Joaquin Valley sits in the heart of California and boasts the state’s top agricultural producing region. Along with fertile soil, cities within the valley share pressing community issues over water conservation, air quality, poverty, and protecting family values. Through solid, faith-based leadership, citizens are banding together to lift up their communities.
