December Prayer Calendar

David Goh – Senior Pastor, The Garden Community Church

Pray that pastor’s and faith leaders can find daily stillness in God’s presence and Word, because we are in a moment where we especially must have direction and power from above.

Loron Hodge – Executive Director, Hope Center

Heavenly Father as we enter into this most joyous season of the year, we stop to give thanks for your blessings on us as individuals, our families, our city, county and state governmental leaders. We especially ask for your blessing on those in our community that are depressed, downtrodden, hurting and without hope. You have placed us here to be examples of your love to those who are in need. May we seek everyday to do your will and to express to those who are desperate the love and compassion that Jesus had for those he touched through His ministry. In times of trouble you are never far away from us. Let us take renewed strength in the promises you made that we can put our trouble and cares on you. Thank you for your goodness and grace and let us rejoice at this Christmas season for the forgiveness of our sins and restore our faith in the holy one from Heaven, Jesus Christ. Amen

Prevention Programs Coordinator II, Kern County Superintendent of Schools

Dear Lord God, be present with all involved in the field of public education. Help all the teachers and administrators to become an even more dynamic force that nurtures and develops a school culture filled with civility and your grace. Raise up in all of us a strong sense of purpose that will shine brightly as we seek to be responsive to the needs of our students and the families we serve. We pray that all those students that feel on the margins or bullied will find comfort and support and a sense of community as we strive to show your love to all students.

Ray Watson – Kern County 4th District Supervisor

Pray for those that will be impacted by the continued economic downturn and the resulting decreases in local government funds that will require staffing cuts and service reductions.

Pray for wisdom and insight for those within the Sheriff’s Office who hold leadership positions at every level.  Pray that God will cause the Sheriff’s Office to continue to prosper in its mission of protection and service to the citizens of Kern County.  Also pray that God will bless with His peace in the midst of trouble, courage and strength to the men and women whose lives are devoted to the Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of Kern County.

Thank you for your prayers for our 88.3 Life FM staff, listeners and community to comprehend and believe God’s unfailing love. “I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ the glorious Father may give you the spirit of wisdom and revelation that you may know Him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparable great power for us who believe.” Eph. 1:17-19
