Transforming Lives through Housing
Families across Kern County are hurting because of the economy. In spite of their efforts, many have found themselves without housing and basic resources. As followers of Jesus, we have an opportunity to be God’s messenger of hope to families facing desperate times.
Our speaker STEPHEN PELZ has over 18 years experience working in the human service field and is one of the leading authorities on combating poverty in Kern County. Stephen has partnered with the faith community to create sustainable solutions for those most at risk of losing their housing. Stephen was appointed as the Director of the Housing Authority of the County of Kern in 2005 and currently serves as the governing president for the Kern County Network for Children. Stephen Pelz will be sharing on the future of homelessness as a director, board member and Servant of Christ. Closing comments will be offered by KIM ALBERS.
Come be inspired by Stephen’s story and join our efforts to respond as Jesus would to the challenges of our community. Bring a guest and expand the connection of followers of Jesus.
